On April 18 Gustavo Gimeno conducts the LAPhil and iconic soloists Katia and Marielle Labèque in the West Coast premieres of In Certain Circles by Nico Muhly and Concerto for Two Pianos by Bryce Dessner.
The Labèque sisters commissioned both works within three years of one another and each has its own distinct and inventive voice. This event marks the first time the concerti have been performed in the same concert. Not to be missed!
There will be two further performances on April 19 and 21.
