Grafenegg Festival Austria commissioned Fabián Panisello to write Crossing Lines for their concert series “Sommerklänge”. The orchestral work will be premiered on July 11 by Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich, conducted by the composer.
Consisting of six individual pieces, Crossing Lines is a study of the intersection of harmonic fields, the partial simultaneity of super chords and their mutual influence. Focusing on different formal and expressive perspectives, each of the pieces explores this theme in its own manner.
