Today sees the release of two new records with works by Edition Peters composers Rebecca Saunders and Sebastian Fagerlund.
Wergo is releasing “out into the open” by Trio Accanto featuring Rebecca Saunders’ That Time for baritone saxophone, percussion and piano which was especially written for the Trio of Marcus Weiss, Nicolas Hodges and Christian Dierstein. It is the last recording that was made in this constellation before Nicolas Hodges left the Trio in 2024.
The second release is “Beneath” on BIS Records, a collection of ensemble and chamber music by Sebastian Fagerlund. Next to Beneath, Violinist Malin Broman, Kungsbacka Piano Trio and Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra recorded the works Remain, Materie and Stilla.
