Since 2009 Roxanna Panufnik has dreamed of writing an entire mass, just for organ. The mass is inspired by the famous Cum Jubilo Gregorian chant and has been written movement by movement over the years. On Sunday September 21 organist Katelyn Emerson gives the world premiere of the complete mass at Glasgow Cathedral as part of the Glasgow Cathedral Festival who commissioned the Sanctus cum Jubilo to complete the work.

Kyrie Cum Jubilo
Gloria Cum Jubilo
Sanctus Cum Jubilo
Agnus Dei Cum Jubilo

Then on Friday a new recording of works for trumpet and organ with Matilda Lloyd (trumpet) and Richard Gowers (organ) is released on Chandos. Roxanna’s work Echo, commissioned by Matilda and Richard is featured alongside other specially commissioned new works by British composers and transcriptions of baroque works. Roxanna has ‘set’ Christina Rossetti’s poem ‘Echo’ which stirs up heightened bitter-sweet emotions and a longing for a love that has been lost and might only now be possible to recall in her dreams.
