On July 12, pianists Laura Alvarez and Benjamin Kobler, both members of Ensemble Musikfabrik, premiere Arnulf Herrmann’s work Spur und Umschrift at WDR Funkhaus Cologne.
Infinite transformation is the main concept of this piece for piano, four hands. In three sections with very different character, musical constellations are exposed and transformed, reinterpreted and viewed from different perspectives.
