On May 2 Death of Classical and the Alexander S. Onassis Benefit Foundation presents an evening of music centred around the Poetry of C.P. Cavafy. Rufus Wainwright will perform the World Premiere of his new work Chandelier / I Went.
An admirer of her work, Wainwright asked Missy Mazzoli to arrange the piece especially for The Knights for this premiere performance in the iconic St Thomas Cathedral in New York.
The evening also includes Nico Muhly’s Far Away Songs in an arrangement by Nathan Thatcher performed by Eleni Calenos and The Knights.
