The Street by Nico Muhly and collaborator Alice Goodman, will receive its world premiere at Kings College Cambridge on Easter Saturday, April 16. The Street is inspired by the iconography and story of the crucifixion as depicted in the 14 Stations of the Cross.

The work is for solo harp, written especially for Parker Ramsay, a former organ scholar at Kings who will perform the work alongside the current cohort of choral scholars who will provide the interwoven plainchant. Actress Rosie Hilal will read the new mediations by Alice Goodman, acclaimed librettist of John Adams’ operas The Death of Klinghoffer and Nixon in China.
