MAKE IT LOUDER, PLEASE!
The Blu-Ray disc MAKE IT LOUDER, PLEASE! on the ARTHAUS MUSIK label combines a live concert of the Michael Nyman Band at Studio Halle in Germany with a portrait on Michael Nyman by Silvia Beck, which allows unprecedented access to the composer and his working life. Fitting the theme of the Handel Year in 2009, Nyman celebrated the German premiere of his newest composition The Musicologist Scores in Handel’s hometown, Halle on October 22. In that piece the composer looks deeply into the subject of Handel’s work. The DVD also includes many other Nyman works.

This Michael Nyman Band concert has been recorded with a modern audio system and six HD-Cameras to guarantee unforgettable viewing and listening pleasure. The portrait by Silvia Beck shows Michael Nyman in all his diversity and endless energy, giving a unique insight into Michael Nyman´s very personal views, his thoughts and emotions; his world.
