The work is scored for string quartet and electronics. The quartet play along to a CD backing track made up of loops of various John Motson commentaries, taken from the BBC1 television coverage of the game between England and Argentina during the 2002 World Cup.
The performance is part of an all-Nyman programme, featuring the composer himself alongside soprano Sarah Leonard and the Michael Nyman String Quartet.
