Programme Note
Whispered and Revealed is a setting of 'Snow-Flakes', by H.W. Longfellow. While the music oftentimes reflects the delicacy of winter weather, both text and music hint at an anxiety, a swelling, and a repetitive keening that can accompany — and announce — the same precipitation. Whispered and Revealed was commissioned by Essential Voices USA and is dedicated to their conductor, Judy Clurman, and was written in the final days of 2014.
