RIFF 23 starts with a "riff", a rhythmical motif,  concise and memorable. 

The riff is based on 23 eighth notes.

This 23/8 pattern is constantly varied in melody, rhythme, harmony and colour.

As in pop or rocksongs you can hear formal passages like chorus, verses and soli.
