Aube (2024)

"At the invitation of the Trio Haydée, I teamed up with the contemporary author & illustrator Diglee to create a new work for 'De lumières et de cieux embrasés', a programme made up entirely of pieces by female composers on the themes of night and day, life and death, love... For our Aube, we follow a woman for whom the dawn brings painful childhood memories. Lasting around 7 minutes, the piece is constructed closely with the text, both structurally and in terms of the treatment of the voice, which favours supple, expressive melodic lines to highlight the words."
