The Ocean Horizon (El Horizonte Oceánico) Movement #1 is inspired by the phenomenon of the Ocean Horizon. As one line, seen from afar it is simply flat, and constant, moving closer there are ripples, wind and waves, constant movements of great masses of water and light flickering. This movement is imagined to be one horizon line in sound, observed and experienced from different distances and angles, below and above the water as well. Sort Sol (Sol Negro) Movement #2 is inspired by the phenomenon of Sort Sol (Sol Negro or Black Sun); large swarms of starlings migrate over the marsh especially during Spring and Autumn. The flocks of birds gather and form dark clouds in the sky. Together the birds create one of nature's most astonishing and ethereal displays, when they move across the sky in synchronous swiveling formations, as a complex dance of unpredictable, though organic movements, with constant changing formations. The Nature (La Naturaleza) Movement #3 is inspired by nature, the life in a forest or jungle. Imagining an undisturbed moment where one listens to and observes the life unfolding with super sensitivity of eyes and ears, smells, humidity, air and ground. Closing your eyes, just listening and sensing, letting all the life unfold itself, unaware of your presence, if not in real life, then in your imagination. Ocean Wind (Viento del Mar) Movement #4 is inspired by the wind rolling in over the ocean, the fresh smell of the ocean, the intense power of the wind in stormy weather, as well as the soft breeze on a calm day. The sound and the energy of the ocean wind. The Sunset (Puesta de Sol) Movement #5 is inspired by the journey of the sun, in the very last stage of the sunset, when the sun comes close to the horizon and the moments of transformation of colors and light into darkness, while the sun dives below the surface of the ocean. The Spirits (Los Espíritus) Movement #6 is inspired by the spirits, the memories we carry ourselves, as well as the memories we carry together. The spirits of a region, of a place, of an ocean. Maybe even the spirits layered within all things surrounding us. It is not concrete; it is an open interpretation. The movement is inspired by what we cannot see, but what we sense or feel. Here connected to the feeling of returning to a place you have not been for a long time, but you know well. A place, that is layered in your soul. The feeling of the energy, the light, the smells, the air, the sounds. A memory many have known before oneself, and therefore it calls upon all the spirits of this place and inside you.
