Commissioned by the New Millennium Experience Company Limited to mark the opening of the Millennium Dome. First performed 31 December 1999, the Millennium Dome, London, by Ruby Turner, Jools Holland, Rosemary Joshua, Dennis O’Neill, Willard White, the Orchestra and Chorus of English National Opera with the Massed Millennium Singers, conducted by Paul Daniel.
