Passacaglia (To End Prejudice) is one of Emily Howard’s earliest works. A short piece for string orchestra, it explores a melodic fragment first introduced in the bass line that moves throughout the ensemble. Dedicated to a group of friends in Manchester, the title refers to an ongoing wish for the composer.
