Joubert at 80

The concerts will include the first complete performance of Joubert’s cantata Wings of Faith by Ex Cathedra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, as well as performances of his choral and instrumental music by ensembles and musicians including Birmingham Bach Choir, the Altenberg Piano Trio, soprano Lesley-Jane Rogers, recorder player John Turner and pianist John McCabe.
In addition, in March 2007, >SOMM Recordings will launch a double CD of the composer’s chamber music featuring many of these artists.
