Celebrations for Joubert at 80

John Joubert celebrates his eightieth birthday on March 20. The occasion is being marked by performances of his music throughout the year, and a new website www.johnjoubert.org.uk has been set up listing the anniversary events.
On March 22 Joubert’s cantata Wings of Faith will be given its first complete performance by Ex Cathedra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jeffrey Skidmore at The Oratory, Birmingham. Other highlights include performances of South of the Line and Rorate Coeli at the University of Birmingham and a concert of chamber music at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
