There will be no less than three world premieres taking place in January and February 2007 of works by Novello composer John McCabe. On January 10 the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Steven Sloane, will perform the Symphony on a Pavane at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London; the Kings Singers will then give the premiere of Cartography – an expanded version of their previous commission – at the Sittingbourne Music Society January 26; and then David Pyatt and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales will premiere the new Horn Concerto, conducted by Tadaaki Odaka on February 16.
