French music festival Les Volques dedicates this year’s edition to composers Rebecca Saunders and Maurice Ravel.
From December 2 to 7 a range of Saunder’s chamber works will be performed by artists such as Renaud Capuçon (violin), Michael Baremboïm (violin), ensemble Quatuor Diotima and sopranos Isabelle Druet and Sarah Maria Sun.
On December 5, Sun will perform the world premiere of Did you picture my face, a song for soprano and piano from Saunder’s first opera Lash that premiered at Deutsche Oper Berlin this summer.
