Ensemble for current music El Perro Andaluz premieres Manos Tsangaris’ Abstract Pieces 2 / Portrait & Entertainment on October 1 in Dresden. This continuation of his music theatre Abstract Pieces from 2018 explores how an ensemble forms itself performatively and includes the audience using the innate ability of spatial hearing.
Describing his work Tsangaris says:
“It is not so much about the psychology of interaction, but rather about practising telepathy. Music is what happens.
In this way, the spaces - physical, architectural, mental, sensory, social, historical memory spaces - and their readings overlap.”
