Tony Award winning composer and orchestrator Christopher Austin will play a key role in the development of a new Black Sabbath Ballet for Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB).
The new three act ballet which will hit the stage in September 2023 will include orchestral versions of music by Black Sabbath alongside brand-new music inspired by the band by Christopher Austin, Marko Nyberg and Sun Keting.
Austin has consulted on the project for several months with Carlos Acosta, BRB’s artistic director and will provide mentoring support to Nyberg and Keting as well as conducting premiere performances in Birmingham and London.
