On 23 and 24 September, Houston Symphony Orchestra and their new principal conductor Juraj Valčuha will premiere Bright Idea by Nico Muhly. This new piece, a welcome addition to Muhly’s orchestra catalogue, provides a wonderful concert opener to Valčuha's second concert as Music Director of the orchestra, which will also include Sibelius' Violin Concerto and Shostakovitch's Symphony No. 5.
