John Paul Jones world premiere of The Bait at Swaledale Festival 2021

On June 9, new work The Bait by John Paul Jones will be premiered at Swaledale Festival within the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, UK. This is the second commissioned work of his by Swaledale Festival after his 2017 commission of Amores Pasados.

Entitled ‘The Bait’, this new work, featuring poetry from John Donne, was written for an ensemble of two singers (tenor and mezzo-soprano), viol and lute. The musicians performing the piece will be John Potter, Jacob Heringman, Susanna Pell and Peyee Chen. Both Heringman and Potter are members of the group Amores Pasados who have previously collaborated with John.
