CD Release: Anne Akiko Meyers premieres Corigliano
Violinist Anne Akiko Meyers released The American Masters on eOne with the first recording of John Corigliano's Lullaby for Natalie (2010). Leonard Slatkin, known for being a champion of American composers, conducts the London Symphony Orchestra.

Meyers' husband commissioned the Oscar- and Grammy-award-winning Corigliano to write this sweetly yearning yet becalming Lullaby as a surprise gift for Meyers to celebrate the birth of their daughter Natalie. So evocative of beauty and peace, Lullaby lends itself well to visual interpretation.

Meyers, with the recording label eOne and Genero TV, launched a contest for the official music video to accompany Meyers' performance. A winner will be chosen from forty contestants. Compare videos at Genero TV.

Also on the disc: the Barber Violin Concerto (1939). Samuel Barber was a beloved influential mentor to Corigliano and the two composers forged a life-long friendship.
