Pook and Khan return for new collaboration
12th March 2013

After a successful run of DESH, his previous collaboration with Pook, Khan will be returning to Sadler’s Wells for the London Premiere of his highly anticipated new production.
Khan shares his ideas of this Stravinsky inspired work…
‘I am interested in the dynamics of how Stravinsky transformed the classical world of music by evoking emotions through patterns, rather than through expression, and these patterns were rooted in the concept of a woman dancing herself to death…to be creating this work with three different composers, Nitin Sawhney, Jocelyn Pook and Ben Frost, allows us to discover many different sound-worlds, using Stravinsky as the key, the guide, the map.’
Performance Dates
Sadler’s Wells, London Dance House
May 28, 29, 30, 31; June 1, at 7:30pm
