L'Amour de loin

Kaija Saariaho's opera L'Amour de loin received its Finnish premiere this September, with celebrated performances featuring Dawn Upshaw, Gerald Finley and Monica Groop, directed by Peter Sellars, and conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen.



The run of performances continues through October with a new cast and conductor, and can still be heard at Finnish National Opera, Helsinki. Productions in 2005 are already scheduled for the Lebanon and the Netherlands.
