YouTube Symphony Orchestra
YouTube invited musicians from around the world to audition for the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. The 200 winners have been chosen and were announced on March 2. The YouTube Symphony Orchestra will have its debut performance with the world premiere of Tan Dun's Internet Symphony No. 1 ‘Eroica’ at Carnegie Hall on April 15, 2009.

More than 3,000 videos were submitted by amateur and professional musicians from 70-plus countries.
The selected musicians, ranging from ages 17 to 55 and come from the U.S. and Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bermuda, Brazil, Britain, Canada, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine.
