A world premiere recording of Antiphon by Lennox Berkeley has recently been released by Dutton Epoch. The work, recorded by the Manchester Chamber Ensemble with conductor Richard Howarth, is part of the disc entitled ANTIPHON: A Tribute to John Manduell. Dedicated to John Manduell, Antiphon was commissioned by and first performed at the Cheltenham International Festival in 1973 where it has become a festival favourite having been performed at four subsequent Cheltenham festivals.
