On February 7, The Johannes String Quartet will give the premiere performance of Homunculus by Esa-Pekka Salonen. The String Quartet was commissioned with a lead gift from The Islip Arts Council and Lillian & Maurice Barbash and support from Orange Country Performing Artscenter, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society and Martha and Frank Salomon. The concert will take place at Foellinger Great Hall, Krannert Center, University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, USA. For details of further performances in 2008, please see our calendar.
