Wayne McGregor wins Critic’s Circle National Dance Award for Tavener collaboration
Wayne McGregor has directed his own company Random since 1992, while also making work for Rambert and the Royal Ballet. His keen embrace of science and technology, of pop and cyber culture, has made him one of Britain's top-ranked choreographers. Amu (2005), his collaboration with the composer John Tavener, was a fascinating production inspired by the heart. McGregor has just been appointed as Resident Choreographer of The Royal Ballet. The Award was made for best Modern Choreography.
