Reviews

The musical language is resolutely diatonic and although there are changes of key signatures within the course of the work, giving tonal variety, accidentals are very rare. The harmony is coloured with 'added note' dissonances, especially 7ths and 9ths. Textures, chords and dynamics often play very important roles in the musical effects: more so, perhaps, than melody.
This is music in contemporary idiom that is tonal, expressive and packs an emotional punch.
