UTFLUKT (2021)
(for two performers and animated film )

This piece has a special history and we are curious to see how its world premiere will look like. It was planned as a close collaboration between performers, animation filmmaker and composer but with one exception it had to take place online. We found ways to live with this precarious situation, even though it wears you down. Neither the common work flow nor the blossoming in the lonely imagination could come about. The piece is carried by the enthusiasm for the artistic partners. We are interested in the following questions: How can the performers and the animation relate to one another in a causal relationship? How can sound production and performance work together in a meaningful way? How can the work process work? How can we react artistically to the fact “Arts of Living on a Damaged Planet”? How do we endure the contradiction of the pleasant life, conscious of the quietest catastrophe of our time?
