Programme Note

Symphony No. 4 – Seen in the Mind was composed in 2026 and consists of four movements.
As a composer, one must respond to the mind’s subtlest, most delicate movements and the body’s (the ear’s) most delicate sensations. The subtitle ‘Seen in the Mind’ (seen with the eye of the mind) refers to the music-fantasy state one finds oneself in whilst composing. A combination of the ear that hears and the conscious mind making decisions.
The symphony opens with a steady pulse, challenged by the irregular durations in the strings. The third movement is a paradisiacal Adagio, before the wild Allegro ‘dance’ of the fourth movement brings the work to a close.

Danish translation:

Symphony No. 4 - Seen in the Mind er komponeret i 2026 og består af fire satser.
