Programme Note

"Ligament" for orchestra is a kind of connecting link that unites the dramaturgy of the entire concert program. It builds bridges with the time perception as well as in the spatial sense. There appear tapes that contain electro-acoustically modified motifs from the other works played at the same concert - the previous work is reflected, the following piece is anticipated. Every performance of "Ligament" is in a certain aspect a world premiere - the tapes are every time newly produced by me, depending on the concert program. The instruments are positioned in different places of the entire concert hall, there is also a mobile element: four woodwind players enter the hall from behind, moving in the direction of the stage while playing. This Idea of spatiality not only has the task of perceiving the sound as a mobile, rotating waves, but also to connect the interpreters with the audience.
