Programme Note
In and around this work an exploration of apathy unfolds - the passive state and sense of lost meaning that can amputate dreams and short-circuit processes. The Anatomy of Apathy is a blueprint of this quiet, unknown place that humans pass through heedlessly and completely alone, on their way toward stress, depression, and sorrow.
The five movements of the piece:
1. The force of withdrawal
2. Gradual pattern breakdown
3. Sensory fragmentation
4. Vanishing point in everyday spasms
5. Stillness as a State
