Programme Note
Jacob Mühlrad returns time and again to the Jewish liturgy, e.g. in his frequently performed choral work Anim zemirot, a setting of the Jewish psalm he used to sing as a child. According to tradition the psalm is sung at the end of the Sabbath by the youngest member of the congregation. It was composed on commission from Sofia Vocal Ensemble and their conductor Bengt Ollén.
