Programme Note
Ernest Bloch created the piano reduction of his Proclamation for Trumpet Solo and Orchestra in 1959 from the original orchestral version. The trumpet parts for the trumpet/piano and trumpet/orchestra versions are identical.
It is dedicated to Samuel Laderman, founder of the Ernest Bloch Society and uncle of the composer Ezra Laderman.
