Programme Note

The virtuosic solo part of Lee Bracegirdle's Violin Concerto leads the orchestra through a traditional three-movement structure that has been heightened by a vivid and expressionistic musical language. Michael Dauth, the piece's dedicatee, gave the world premiere along with the Sydney Youth Orchestra under Alex Briger on May 31, 2015. 33 minutes in length, the piece is available as a full score for sale through the Peters Contemporary Library and performance materials available on hire.
