Programme Note
MARKed MUSIC was originally developed by Mark Dresser, Roger Reynolds, and computer musician Jaime Oliver. Its materials grew out of two earlier projects in which Dresser and Reynolds had collaborated: imagE/contrabass and imAge/contrabass. In MARKed MUSIC, these two short, complementary solo works were elaborated with improvisatory and computer-mediated materials so as to comprise a larger statement.
