iv is the anagram of I(ntro)v(ertiertheit). It is about a kind of journey into the innermost depths of composing.

The piece allows 5 miniatures to be observed. On the one hand, they are compositional situations with certain types of sound and time, on the other hand, the macroform breathes between symmetrical and asymmetrical tendencies. This concerns the central miniature " c " and the pairs " b-d " and " a-e ".

It is about the unfolding of fragile, compositional spaces that are located between existential and hopefully metaphysical spaces, about disappearance. Disappearance has always been proclaimed as the special presence of Jesus of Nazareth after the resurrection.

iv 14 was composed for the Conradi-Gehlen duo, whom I would like to thank for developing the piece.
