Resurgence (2011)
(for orchestra)

Resurgence was commissioned by Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, and is dedicated to their at the time principal conductor Rolf Gupta, with whom I have worked closely for many years. The piece was commissioned to open the first concert in their brand new concert hall, Kilden, in Kristiansand, and to celebrate this, I decided to use the whole building, the backstage area, the stage and the audience area. Musicians are placed around and in the middle of the audience, giving each listeners an unique version of the piece (according to which instrument you have close to you).
