Sassafras Gully Waltz (1997)
(arranged for two guitars)

This waltz, composed in 1997, was a 50th birthday present for my friend Nicholas Routley, pianist, conductor, composer and musicologist. At the time Nicholas lived above Sassafras Gully in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. The waltz is intended to reflect his enthusiasm and impetuosity.
