Cocktail Suite for Two

Cocktail Suite for Two was written by Michael Easton for performance by himself and Len Vorster in a series of promotions for Yamaha Music [Australia]

The music was intended for a film set on a train. Originally composed as a set of songs with string quartet accompaniment, the singer could not look dignified dashing through the Kentish countryside at 100 miles per hour; the string quartet gave up at the first set of points and a piano duet was finally settled on. By that time the projected film had run out of money and so the little suite of duet pieces was written. accompaniementach of the movements based on a favourite cocktail.
