        Programme Note

        The germ for this piece came from pianist Marina Baranova, who recorded an album of elaborations on baroque pieces called "Hypersuites”. Edel asked several artists to remix their favourite track, so my choice was her interpretation of "Muséte de Taverni” by François Couperin, from "Troisième livre de pièces de clavecin”. I enjoyed the process so much that I wanted to make a new, different piece using a similar motif of alternating fifths in the bass. I layered the landscape with chords and sprinkled
        the air above with soft, eccentric looping arpeggios.
