Programme Note
A Closed world of fine feelings and grand design, in ternary form, develops from introspective chordal groupings building in intensity through repetition. A middle section modifies the texture to include the treble strings, with arpeggiated chords providing a vivid contrast, before the recapitulation of the first part.
