Programme Note

The small machines are the almost imperceptible, repeating patterns which exits inside us, and around us. In the music it is embodied in the fast movements, and in the gestures without a goal. In the repetitions and the many small movements that follow each other and juxtapose. The small machines creates stacks of phrases, mechanical units in constant flux. And through this a stream is falling, like in a landscape; sometimes hidden, sometimes in the open. Running in falling or rising movements on its way towards a goal we never experience.

It is the small machines within us that make us do the same things again and again. The same physical movements, the same swearwords, the same pleasures and the same mistakes. A tightly woven web of repetitions.
