Programme Note
Synopsis:
Edwin is on trial for breach of promise, having tired of his intended, Angelina and turned his attentions to another. Angelina appears and overwhelms the judge and jury with her beauty. Edwin offers to marry Ariend tomorrow, a solution which is not accepted. Instead, the judge says that he will wed Angelina himself. Everyone is satisfied and the trial ends.
