Synopsis:
Bastienne, a shepherdess believes that her lover Bastien has lost interest in her. He has moved to the city where he has been seduced by glamour and wealth. But Colas promises to help her win him back. By feigning indifference, Bastienne leads Bastien to the brink of suicide. Colas’s plan has worked and the pair finally reaffirm their love for each other.
