Rêves en Pleine Lumiere (2002)
- Edition Wilhelm Hansen Copenhagen (World)
Originally the counterpart of a huge work for double chorus ("La peur – As it were” - 1999, with texts by Paul Éluard and John Cage), since withdrawn.
Programme Note
The strongly erotic texts of Paul Éluard suggest a choral texture that is more sensual-expressionistic than soberly polyphonic. The movements, sung without a break, were originally the counterpart of a huge work for double chorus (“La peur – As it were” - 1999, with texts by Paul Éluard and John Cage), since withdrawn.
The Éluard-part has a life of its own, and the work was premiered in 2002.
