GENERAL NOTES
Presented here is a complete musical setting of The Order for the Celebration of Holy Communion, as laid out in Order One of Common Worship: Services and Prayers for the Church of England. As liturgical flexibility is one of the key issues of Common Worship, I have attempted to develop the music in keeping with this ethos. Discussed below in the Performance Notes are the various permutations of vocal forces which can perform the Corpus Christi Service. In terms of liturgical choices, all options and authorised alternative words of Order One, as well as the mandatory passages have been set. It should be possible therefore, to create a bespoke combination of elements suitable for most cathedral, parish and collegiate services.
